Gratitude

Do you ever take time to really focus on and pay tribute to the things that you are grateful for?  It feels really good.

Try this, if you are feeling overwhelmed, seems like everthing sucks, just sit down and start writing down all the things you are grateful for, if an negative pops into your head just push it a way with a grateful.  It can be as simple as:

Today I am grateful for:

  • My two little girls are healthy and beautiful and they make me laugh.  When life seems to serious I know that my daughters can simplify it just by a conversation or a hug or a hand hold.
  • My husband, he is my best friend, the only person who understands me (sometimes) and usually the only person that can get me to lighten up.  He is handsome, smart & funny and I am lucky to have him. (and vice versa
  • My boot camp friends.  Everyone that reads this blog and everyone that emails and posts their comments and especially everyone that I work out with.  I probably wouldn't work out if I if all of you ladies weren't there with me.  Serious, I could get Jeff to train me one on one but it is not the same, no fun.  Not anything against him, it's just that some people are meant to train one on one and people like me need the motivation of the group to keep me going.
  • Fall weather.
  • Jack o' Lanterns
  • Clean sheets.
  • My mother- she is a great arts and crafts teacher to my children and shows me everyday that the only thing that comes between you and living life is your attitude.  You either can do it or you won't do it.
  • My father- for being my on call handyman and babysitter. Service 24 hours per day.
  • My grandmother - she's cool.  Always has been and always will be.
  • My brother - it is nice when someone loves you despite all your flaws and he does, love me that is.
  • Ice water.
  • Kettlebells - they make me feel strong
  • The internet
  • My blog and food journal - it makes me accountable and that is a huge factor in success.

It would make me feel good to hear what everyone else is grateful for but unless it is private please post it below in the comments so we can all enjoy the warm fuzziness of gratitude together.

I am not eating enough so I have got to re-focus and get some calories.  But I am eating my veggies and apples

Gratefully Yours,

Tiff

Love the gratitude reminder. It's always easy to go down the slippery negative slope. I am grateful that I made it through boot camp yesterday. I thought I was going to lose my cookies, but I remembered that I had to slow down. I know it will get better...thanks again for a great workout!!!;)

I almost forgot to tell you...an easy way to get those vegies is in soup. I always have some homemade soup in the fridge with lots of vegies and it's a good filler for a snack also.....take care...
