Here is another one of my favorite quotes and I was reminded of it by Gayle in our 6 pm Napa class.
“You MUST do the things you think you cannot do!” - Eleanor Roosevelt
If we always did what we are truly capable of we would shock ourselves! Imagine how great it would be….. It can be.
I wanted to share with you a tip from Lisa in our 5:30 am Napa class I am cutting and pasting here:
I read an article yesterday that talked about the importance of journaling. The article gave a different spin which I thought was helpful, it was called "reverse journaling". You basically write down your meals and snacks before hand and check them off as you eat them. If you plan your meals and do the portion sizes the night before (just as you would pack the kids lunches or whatever) then it is grab and go. I think that I am going to try it because I have a mental block that if I don't start the day off journaling then I'll just start tomorrow (repeat).
I love this idea and of course if it helps get over the hump between journaling and not journaling then I say do it.
I know that it is so much easier for me when things are planned out in advance. I like to have pre-cooked, pre-portioned food ready to eat in advance but taking it a step further and writing down and/or getting it ready the night before would make for a very successful day.
I know the holiday might have been a crazy time for some of us; even I jumped off the journal for a couple of days.
But today let’s re-commit! Let’s journal each day this week and do everything we can to get to the goal calories, carbs, fat and protein at the end of each day.
Then let’s get measured on Thursday click here to view the calendar.
And of course let’s continue into the next camp doing what we need to do in order to reach our goals and take care of ourselves.
My new slogan is: I love my children, I love my husband, I love my business but for ONE HOUR per day I LOVE myself at boot camp.
Happy Labor Day!
